Having worked with building contractors for over 30 years, I can say with confidence that Brendan’s professionalism, building skills and attention to detail are of the highest order. All minor snags that were brought to his attention were dealt with without delay. The site clear-up at the end of the project was thorough and it was clear that a pride in workmanship and ensuring a satisfied client are a top priority.

A two-storey converted stone barn near Portnoo, Co. Donegal. The 600mm thick random rubble walls had a pebble-dashed render and sand-cement plastered interior. There was no wall insulation which resulted in a poorly insulated building.

  • 100mm external insulation with a dashed finish
  • Powder-coated pressed metal insulated window cills
  • Powder-coated pressed metal guttering and rainwater goods
  • Roof ridge tile repointing
  • Four number triple glazed, recessed flashing Velux rooflights
  • Replastering ceilings and modifications to electrical work
  • Internal insulated drylining to two ground floor rooms (to achieve a 100% wrap where external insulation was not possible)
  • Waterproof render (Hidi) to internal wall
  • Modifications to internal timberwork
